Schools are experiencing problems logging into RM SecureNet this morning. They are getting error SQL Server does not exist or access denied. SWGfl are working on the issue and the advice to schools is to keep trying.
Schools are experiencing problems uploading and downloading files in SecureNet Plus. Sometimes the file will be uploaded/downloaded and other times it will timeout or give the error failed to upload/download. If you are experiencing problems please keep trying. RM are investigating the issue as a high priority.
On Friday 21st October the Scomis Service Desk will be closed from 14.00pm until 15.00pm. This is to allow for a Service Desk Staff training event.
All other Scomis Managed Services will continue to be available throughout.

SWGfL experienced a webserver failure and DNS issues earlier today, affecting access to some webpages – including RMSecurenet and Easymail Plus.
SwGfL now report that most schools should have full internet functionality restored, although there may still be some lingering issues remaining for some schools as SWGfL
Essential electrical upgrade work is being carried out at County Hall this Bank Holiday weekend. It will result in outages to the DCC/Scomis websites, a small percentage of Attix backup schools as well as a short outage to part of the Exeter Network. The power will be off between Fri 26th PM to Mon 29th AM, when normal service will be resumed.
RM are carrying out maintenance on the main Scomis network connection this afternoon, between 16:00 and 16:30. All remote Scomis services will be unavailable during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.

On Wednesday 17th August 2011 and Wednesday 24th August 2011 the Service Desk will be open between 8am and 5pm. The extended opening hours will enable Scomis to provide enhanced support for Exam Results days.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THE SIMS SUMMER UPGRADE 2011
What is it?
An upgrade for SIMS .net to version 7.140. It includes a number of fixes and enhancements. Please see SIMS Release Note Summer 2011.
Is there an Upgrade for FMS
Due to its late release from Capita, the FMS upgrade will not be released until the Autumn Term. FMS 6.140 contains changes to the interface but there are no significant changes to functionality. Notes on the new interface will be on the Scomis website prior to its release.
When will I get upgraded?
Terminal Server Schools – Sunday 17th July
Upgrade Service Schools – From 19th July
Own Upgrade Schools – Files will be available on SOLUS on Monday 19th July.
.net Framework version 4
Following this upgrade schools will need to have upgraded to Version 4 of the Microsoft .net Framework. Failing to upgrade a workstation will result in SIMS .net failing to load. Terminal Server schools will NOT require the .net Framework upgrade as this has already been completed on our servers. Click here for more information.
