As part of the improvements made last summer to Easymail, the size of every user mailbox in the SWGfL was increased to 1GB at no charge to schools. This has been a very popular change and more and more schools are making good use of this.

Because of the increase in use, SWGfL need to add more storage capacity to their systems to continue to provide this functionality. The work is scheduled to take place at 6am on Thursday 6th of May. The work will probably only take about two hours and it is not expected that Easymail will unavailable in this period and you should be able to log in and use your Easymail as usual during this period.

Please contact the SWGfL Helpdesk or your Local Authority support team if you have any questions about this or have problems afterwards.

You can read about the SWGfL Mail service and find out your support team contact numbers here: http://www.swgfl.org.uk/Services/SWGfL-Mail

April 2010 sees the launch of this new website which has been redesigned and re-launched with a vibrant new look, new content, significant layout updates, new features and functionality. It includes a layout based upon school roles, up to the minute news, frequently asked questions, ScoMIS Calendar of events and deadlines and an innovative new Training Directory that integrates the latest web technologies.

It is intended to offer an enhanced user experience with a fresh look and represents a different approach and reflects our long-term strategy to bring up to date and relevant information direct to your desktop.

Since we designed this site for you, we want it to be everything you want it to be and we want to know what you think and therefore welcome your thoughts and suggestions. Please email your comments to scomis@devon.gov.uk. We have also created a blog site where we shall be sharing our ideas for the continue development of the site. Website Development Portal.

In addition we will be working hard during the summer to implement Hornbill which is our new Service Management Tool. It will replace our existing system and will manage all requests for support, advice and services. It will enable us to offer you direct access into the system to check for on-line solutions, to make requests for help and to review the progress of your requests for assistance.
