Schools are experiencing problems logging into RM SecureNet this morning. They are getting error SQL Server does not exist or access denied. SWGfl are working on the issue and the advice to schools is to keep trying.

Schools are experiencing problems uploading and downloading files in SecureNet Plus. Sometimes the file will be uploaded/downloaded and other times it will timeout or give the error failed to upload/download. If you are experiencing problems please keep trying. RM are investigating the issue as a high priority.
SWGfL experienced a webserver failure and DNS issues earlier today, affecting access to some webpages – including RMSecurenet and Easymail Plus.
SwGfL now report that most schools should have full internet functionality restored, although there may still be some lingering issues remaining for some schools as SWGfL
All Devon Schools will now be able to download their reconciliation files including the reversal file, as mentioned in the previous email sent by the CYPS Finance Team and as also shown in the previous ScoMIS Update shown below this latest announcement.
Upload facility has now also been restored.

As you are aware we have been experiencing difficulty with the data extract. We apologise for this and the inconvenience caused by this service interruption.
This for the first time in about 18 years of running DTCS a problem has led to a duplication of data. This affects all schools and therefore we have been under taking some testing before moving to releasing a fix. Our solution is to create a reversals file.
We expect the situation to be resolved in the following way
The SecureNet community is currently closed for both uploading and downloading. We will complete testing and output the corrective data to SecureNet
Once this has happened we will make SecureNet available for upload and download.
We will put a note of this up on the ScoMIS website and send a confirmatory e-mail to all schools.
We will not restart further data extracts until we have successfully output the corrective batches.
The corrective process will work in the following way – please read carefully before you download from SecureNet
1. Schools who have not taken data
Will receive this file next time they download. Running Auto-rec will process the correct entries plus the incorrect and corrective entries. This will mean that the majority of entries relating to payroll and others where ledger code links are set up will be processed behind the scenes. Other entries may end up in suspense in this case there will be a further matching debit and credit also. Please take care to ensure that only matching entries are deleted.
2. Schools already having downloaded
Will also receive this file next time they download. This file should be processed as normal it will automatically correct payroll entries and items where ledger code links are set up. Entries failing reconciliation should be matched debit to credit taking care not delete anything other than matched pairs.
3. Schools where manual adjustments have already been made to deal with duplicate entries.

As we are close to month end it may be appropriate to wait until balance checker is available before completely clearing suspense. Please note that the Summary File printouts will only show the original entries and not the duplicates or corrections.
