Capita have made a new fileset available (0064) which contains updates from the DfE to deal with various School Census validation errors.

If you are a Terminal Server School or Upgrade Service School this fileset will be applied for you by ScoMIS.

Schools not buying into these services should refer to the ScoMIS FAQ KB2896 which will give you access to the file and also instructions on how to download and import it. You can either click on the hyperlink above or visit the ScoMIS website http://www.devon.gov.uk/scomis, select the link to Frequently Asked Questions under key services and then type ‘KB2896′ into the search box.

On Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th August the ScoMIS Service Desk will be open from 8am to 5pm. This is earlier than the usual holiday opening hours to assist schools with their Examination queries.

 

On Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th August the ScoMIS Service Desk will be open from 8am to 5pm. This is earlier than the usual holiday opening hours to assist schools with their Examination queries.

 

The RM EasyMail Plus (SWGfL Mail) service will be unavailable between 10am and 4pm Saturday 7th August. This date was chosen because we are now a few weeks into the English and Welsh holidays, and is before the Scottish schools return. We [RM] have also considered the importance of email access in exam result periods and this made Saturday the preferred option.

The maintenance is adding more storage, which will deliver more capacity, as well as making it quicker to access emails and folders. These are routine tasks for us and we do not foresee any risk, certainly all data is safe.

 

ScoMIS communications have been restored following the power outage at County Hall. We are sorry for any inconveniece that this situation may have caused.

 

We are sorry to announce that incoming communications to the ScoMIS Service Desk, including telephone and email, are down due to a power outage at County Hall.

All ScoMIS Managed Services are still available.

We will post further updates as more information is known. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

The telephone difficulties experienced earlier have been resolved and normal service has resumed.
